Businesses, associations, and individuals committed to a community's social and economic well-being make up the chamber's membership. These groups have united because they believe that speaking with one voice and acting as a unit will increase their chances of success. Small local businesses like the mom-and-pop diner and the corner hardware store can be members of the chamber, as can larger establishments like the downtown bank, franchise stores, major retailers, and the local baseball team. There are no boundaries or constraints on the types or quantity of members who want to participate in a chamber of commerce.
I've been a part of the Farmington community since 2013 and joined the Chamber of Commerce board of directors in September 2017. My favorite characteristics of Farmington are the small-town feel, the vibrant small business community and connecting with its business owners, and the sense of commitment to improving the quality of life for residents. I encourage you to check out the local small business community, with offerings from boutique clothing stores and good eats to medical professionals and contracting services. Farmington is a thriving community in NWA and a great place to call home.
